During Windows 7 WLAN setup "An unexpected error occured" for any security type other than WEP
I am not able to configure Windows 7 WLAN for any one of the following security type
1. WPA Enterprise (AES or TKIP)
2. WPA2 Enterprise (AES or TKIP)
3. 802.1x
I reinstalled drivers of my WLAN card (Intel(R) Centrino(R) Advanced-N 6205). In initial days I am able to connect using all above mentioned security types. My company provided latest version of Symantec Endpoint Protection. After unstallation of old and installation
of new I lost those settings and connectivity of that kind of networks.
Steps I following to setup,
1. Log in as Administrator
2. Go to Network & Sharing Center
3. Go to Manage Wireless Network (from left side links)
4. Go "Add' menu option
5. Fill network name (Given by company support team)
6. Choose security type as "WPA Enterprise"
7. Choose Encription type as "TKIP"
8. Click on Next it shows "An unexpected error occurred"
Does Microsoft's patch / Fix It provides solution for such problems ?
System Details:
Windows 7 Professional SP 1 - 64 bit - Think Pad T420
Please help to setup my Windows WLAN.
NOTE :
I can't format / reinstall Windows (So-many applications need to setup and will loose data)
I don't have old restore points to restore. So can't perform this step.
